Kelsie + Kevin :: Columbus Wedding Photography
This post marks the end of an era. If things go according to plan over the next week or so, this could be the very last post on this current blog. We’re finishing up the final touches to our new website, complete with updated image galleries and a brand spanking new blog. We can’t wait for you guys to see it, so stay tuned!
Mindy knew Kevin and Kelsie growing up. We spent the early part of the day shooting portraits at Kevin’s parent’s house, which is less than a mile down the road from Mindy’s parent’s. It’s a beautiful property with a seriously good sized pond/lake, fantastic landscaping, and a little tiki hut with a beach and a dock. It was the perfect place for their portraits despite the fact that it rained for a good hour right in the middle of our scheduled picture time. We made it work and I think things turned out fantastic.
The rain cleared up in time for the outdoor ceremony, and the overcast skies made for some great soft light all day long.

In case you missed their engagement session, Kelsie has some of the craziest, beautiful rainbow eyes you’ve ever seen.

Yeah, that’s a horse drawn carriage dropping the bride off for the ceremony.

Ashley + Nick :: Dayton Wedding Photography
We love traveling for weddings, but I have to admit, it’s nice to be close to home. Ashley + Nick got married in Kettering, about a 10 minute drive from where we live. Can’t complain about sleeping in later and being home earlier :)
What a great couple. I consider them friends.

Erin + Brad :: Dayton Engagement Photography
We love shooing in Troy, it’s just far enough outside of the city that it has that historic small town feel, but it’s close enough that it’s not a pain to drive there. It also happens to be about halfway between Dayton and Maria Stein, which is where Erin grew up. Her and Brad live in Washington DC, but they were in town visiting and finishing up some of their wedding planning, so we took the opportunity to do their engagement session.
Keep an eye out for their wedding in September!
